Planning a wedding can be difficult for some and no wedding is exactly the same. Here, we’ll try to answer some of the most common questions we receive. If there’s anything else you’re unsure of or need more information, feel free to contact us and we’ll get back to you asap.
Can we make our own music selections?
Sure can. It’s really common for couples to request that certain songs be played at their wedding, especially for the father/daughter dance and other important parts of the event. It’s up to you as to just how involved you want to be. Most times, we’ll take your requests and plan the rest of the night ourselves based on your musical and genre-specific suggestions which we’ll discuss at an initial consultation.
What kind of equipment do you use?
We use the highest quality professional equipment available to us. Turntables and controllers from Technics and Numark, Serato software, high quality digital music files, SHURE microphones, high quality cables, JBL, Electro Voice, and QSC speaker systems and some of the best sound monitoring equipment in the industry. Oh, and we have backups of everything!
What is included in your wedding package?
Pretty much everything you’ll need to have the wedding you’ve always dreamed of. There are no hidden fees or charges, we’ll discuss everything during an initial consultation. You can see a whole list of what is included on our inclusive wedding package on our packages page. For weddings over 250 guests, destination weddings, additional equipment set up, and extra time, a custom package may be required.
Do you charge for set up time?
Nope.
Will you act as the emcee?
Of course, acting as emcee for the wedding, primarily the introductions and announcements, is something we’ve become quite familiar with over the years. But if you’d prefer to do it yourself, that’s fine too.
Do you have insurance?
Yup. We sure do. We have a full liability policy that covers absolutely everything including ourselves, our DJs and assistants.
Do I get to meet with my DJ?
Definitely. We make ourselves available for face-to-face meetings, phone calls, email and text correspondence throughout the entire process.
Can you make a custom song or mix?
We certainly can, and have many times in the past. It’s something we usually include in the wedding package price. However, intricate custom songs and mixes requiring many hours of work, may require a separate fee.
How long do you need to set up?
The set up time depends simply on the amount of equipment needed for your event. The more speaker set ups required, the more time we’ll need. We usually plan for a lot more time than we need, after all, we’d rather finish setting up a half hour early than a half second late.
